Our nation is facing two major crises — an economic crisis brought on by a public health crisis. President Biden is calling on the Senate to address both by passing the American Rescue Plan immediately.
Across the country, over thirty states have taken steps to prioritize educators for vaccination. Today, President Biden is directing remaining states to do the same — with the goal of every educator receiving at least one shot by the end of March.
Today, President Biden announced a breakthrough collaboration between Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and the federal government to ramp up vaccine production. Because of these efforts, we will have enough vaccines for every American by the end of May–two months earlier than expected.

We've shared with governors that we’re increasing weekly supply of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to 15.2 million doses per week, up from the 14.5 million we announced last week. With the 2.8 million Johnson & Johnson doses also going out, the total for this week will be 18 million.
